Record your rides with Bikely!

I stumbled on this great tool which allows you to record your rides for others to see (globally) using the Google Earth technology.

Included here is a ride I recently did from Adelaide to Goolwa.

The new version coming soon will allow up to 9 photos to be inserted along the way so that a mouse click will bring up the image. This uses flickr and is a cinch to use.

Sea to Vines ride

The 2006 annual Sea to Vines ride, a Bike SA event, was held on November 19th and I was fortunate enough to participate. They reckon over 100 riders took part on what turned out to be a warm and windy day, which turned out to be rather uncomfortable even though it never really turned out to be a ferocious headwind. Plenty of fluids and lashings of sunscreen were the order of the day with the temperature climbing just above 35 degrees.

Grand Slam Ride No. 3 Meadows

Bike SA has organised some excellent rides this year in their Grand Slam series rides. The rides are designed to suit from begginers to more serious riders and give rider the option of attempting the mini slams which start at one loop of 40Km going up to 120Km after five rides. the Grand slam rides are usually double this. I have attempted the first ride at Mount Torrrens (did the 84Km), missed the second one but I have just completed the Meadows ride (mini 64Km). Very cool conditions to start with and many hills but absolutely enjoyable. The next ride is 75/150Km in roughly the same area.
